Casa Joanna has 6 beautiful ensuite bedrooms and can accommodate
up to 12 people. This Old School house is nestled in the centre of the village with views towards the mountains and Lucca to the north. It has a lovely, private feel about it with the south facing garden giving plenty of space where you can lounge, play, dine and swim in our child-friendly, salt water pool (11 m long by 5 m wide). This can be heated upon request. A natural shade is provided by the mulberry trees that sit between the pool and the outdoor dining terrace.
We have an organic vegetable garden for you to use during your stay with us.
There is plentiful parking next to the drive.
Facilities
There are 3 restaurants in Vorno. Family owned traditional Tuscan restaurant/pizzeria "A Bimbotto"; organic agriturismo "Cucina dello Scompiglio” - contemporary Tuscan menu. Scompiglio produce very fine wines.
Restaurant/coffee house “Il Rio di Vorno” for breakfast/lunch/supper.
The closest supermarket is only a 5 minute drive to the village next door.
There is a theatre and art gallery behind Scompiglio with a variety of events throughout the season.
Location
Historic Casa Joanna (the Old School House) is situated within the idylic conservation village of Vorno, in the lush countryside at the foot of Monte Zano. We are ten minutes from Lucca, 35 minutes from Pisa airport and 1 hr to Florence (by car).
The closest beach is about 30 minutes away.

Courses
We hold painting courses during the spring time in order to capture the Tuscan nature in its' full beauty. Come and enjoy the painting experience and have some fun. Everyone has the ability to paint!
